Belated Advent Challenge!

You might recall that I took part in Da Warpath's Advent Challenge back in December. The first figure I painted was this one, but I also painted a second figure a few days later.

Being as I was busy working on LotR Dwarves at the time, I chose another Dwarf model to paint - this time, Balin.

I wasn't as happy with how this turned out compared to the Dwarf Captain I painted first, so I went back to it after and added another few highlight layers for the beard and hair. It didn't quite contrast enough for my liking the first time round, and seemed a bit 'bland'. But that's now resolved and I'm happier with the figure now - I'll have to post pictures some other time!
